Céad Míle Fáilte Bienvenue Willkommen Bien Venido Benenuto

Welcome to Dualla House Bed & Breakfast Cashel County Tippeary. Situated  is on a working 300 acre sheep and grain farm run by the Power family. Visitors will find it an easy clean and safe place to walk around and we are only too happy to tell our guests about our farming operation.

Dualla house was built by William Scully in 1790's. He was a member of the well known Scully family of South Tipperary. His son John inherited the property. He married Catherine Moore, a sister of Thomas Moore, poet in 1811. Family tradition says that it was at Dualla that he composed "The last rose of Summer" while on a visit.

The Scully family are buried at the Rock of Cashel, the monument is visible from the town of Cashel as the remains of a high cross within the walls of the Rock itself.

Dualla House is built on an elevated site approached by a 700 metre avenue and has great views of the rolling countryside of this part of the Golden Vale. Slievenamon, the Comeraghs, Knockmealdown and the Galtee Mountain Range can be seen from Dualla House.

The drawing room is comfortable with an open peat fire for our guests comfort and lots of books many of Irish interest for your perusal. The breakfast room has original pine floor boards.
Upstairs there are 4 en-suite bedrooms for guest use. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and individually decorated to a very high standard with orthopaedic mattresses, T.V. tea/coffee making facilities. Free Internet access and Wifi available in the house.

Peaceful House, Lovely Welcome”

My wife and I stayed here with our 12mth old son for one night. The welcome was exceptionally friendly. Mairead made us feel really at home. The decor is absolutely beautiful and we had a lovely, restful night's sleep. If you are into spanking modern rooms, you may not be into this. But if you like friendly welcomes, antiqued decor... more

“What a lovely, peaceful place”

We stayed at Dualla House with our 7-month old son, and my friend also had her own room. The owners are so friendly and the house is in a wonderfully peaceful spot with sheep farm and friendly dogs included. I particularly loved the antiques and decor, it's insipiring to me now that I am living back in the States again!... more

“Beautiful, peaceful, quiet....”

This is a wonderful old house and working farm, sitting on 120 hectares of land (that’s almost 300 acres). Our room was sparkling clean, probably the size of the average NY one-bedroom apartments. At our host’s suggestion, we went to see the Bro Boru show, which we really enjoyed – definitely exceeded our expectations. This B&B is not in town,... more
